Smart film for entry doors and sidelites
The most-seen glass in the house, and usually the most compromised.
Interactive visualization — not a photograph of a completed installation.
Entry glass is a design statement and a privacy problem at once. Most owners solve it with permanent frost, a sheer, or an interior panel — all of which dim the foyer permanently.
The switchable approach
Sidelites and door glass become clear for daylight and views out to a motor court or garden, then frosted when the family is home or the house is empty. It is one control, usually placed inside the entry near the alarm keypad.
This is also a favourite scope for renovation projects: the entry gets a visible upgrade without touching the door itself.
Planning notes
- Door leaves require a durable, concealed path for the low-voltage lead
- Fixed sidelites are the simplest and most common scope
- Panel layout planned around the 5.9 ft maximum cut width
- Exterior exposure assessed against manufacturer guidance
- Transformer usually located in an adjacent closet or ceiling void
